the petition to get Crosby back was a sick joke
I see where some people from both wards, a total of 156 voters out of over 2000, asked to have Danny be the Alderman in Ward 2, mine. First I want to say I do not feel anger toward Linda Lee for doing what she thinks right. I do humbly disagree with her logic. I will contact her and express my reasons.
For the crowd of enchanted by Danny faithful, they have a long, long road to travel down the path of the moral high ground to even begin sniffing a candidate of Crosby's proven character flaws to be in any official position. It is not lost on people that the ONLY news out of Coopertown involves the issues of Long and Crosby. There are no longer people from all parts of Tennessee and beyond crowing about how we are a bunch of thieves. There are no more words like CHEAT written on the Weather reports for the PV area. There are no massive maniacal road warriors running people over on the roads like someone implied in a letter to the editor @ RCTimes. There are no future taxes coming to our town as they tried a scare tactic to drum up the concern. But then their are a few who would believe the fantasy that Danny did a great job that are now a problem again. They think they are right but they will just have to man up and realize their fight was with the people who stand for truth, justice, and the American way. They are not ready to accept the truth and if they keep it up people will demand we disband the charter and all that comes with it. Most would not be affected by a dump on Hwy 49. Many already have one and see no real problems so they could care less what we think in ward 2. They just want the silly game playing to ressurect Crosby to end. He pooped in his own cheerio's and fouled up his own nest egg. A slicker snake oil salesman does not exist is the word on the street. I say that also, because he has snookered in some people with money who liked having a lot of direct influence on what goes on in Coopertown. That money spends well but it is like throwing it in a fire, worthless. They could feed a lot of hungry people with that money.

Re: the petition to get Crosby back was a sick joke
From Wikipedia concerning Coopertown!!!!!In January 2006, Coopertown was called "one of the more blatant examples of speed traps" in the country by a spokesperson for the National Motorists Association (NMA).[7] The town's mayor, Danny Crosby, defended the increased enforcement of lowered speed limits, citing the need to combat speeders using Highway 49 as a shortcut between I-24 and I-65.[7] A complaint and writ of ouster filed by the State of Tennessee on June 27, 2006 noted that comment from the NMA.[8] That complaint seeks to remove Crosby from office, due to acts of willful misconduct related to the speed traps, as well as other abuses of power.[8] The trial court dismissed the petition, reinstated Crosby as mayor of the City of Coopertown, and awarded Crosby his discretionary costs. An appeal was heard September 7, 2007. In January 2008, the Tennessee Court of Appeals ruled that even though "the trial court accurately characterized conduct attributable to Crosby as 'bigotry, sexism, or utter foolishness'", the plaintiff failed to prove by "clear and convincing evidence" that Crosby "knowingly or willfully" committed the type of misconduct essential to establish the requisite statutory grounds to remove a public official from office. Referenced IN THE COURT OF APPEALS OF TENNESSEE AT NASHVILLE September 7, 2007 Session No. M2006—2777-COA-R3-CV - Filed January 17, 2008. ************************************************************ SO, only because it can't be proved he 'knowingly or willfuly" did this??? I think we already have a feeling for that and respectfully disagree!! Just say NO to Crosby for anything political, please!! It serves no good anymore for him to continue this path he started. We will go house to house in large droves again if need be to elect better peronalities than these people deem fit. Just watch us.

Re: the petition to get Crosby back was a sick joke
City meeting was a circus (Robertson County Times 9/23/09 Letter to the Editor) I just wanted to comment on the town meeting, or shall I say, set up circus, that took place last Thursday at the meeting at City Hall in Coopertown. The place was packed to the brim and out the door with supporters for former Mayor, Danny Crosby, along with one hundred seventy six citizen’s signatures from this community for him to replace Jack Long who resigned his position after all the harassment, vandalism and fire to his truck, and a phone call by an ignorant idiot to his job to resign as alderman. You saw democracy and justice in action when the two aldermen Linda Lee and Robert Anderson went along with the voice of the people and in all fairness endorsed Mr. Crosby to fill this seat. The mayor along with Peggy Ruth voted it down but most of all he showed his dictatorship to all of Coopertown with smug intent. Believe me, when the election comes around the people will show their outrage. Coopertown, and most of all its residents, are very proud of Linda Lee who voted the will of the people, and now she is being chastised by the mayor for standing up and trying to unite this community. Coopertown is in bad shape when the people are treated this way especially when an officer was observed laughing and snickering at her behind her back and even refused to shake her hand. Coopertown, we now realize, is losing money every day because there is no revenue being generated. Speed laws are being broken and lives are being put in danger. How is the city going to survive? There’s been rumors of Gestapo taxes that once were instituted in Nazi Germany, to fine us citizens $50 to keep our property clean among other things. I have a proposal for generating income for the “circus” that is now playing out in City Hall, without a tax increase. We’re either going to have to bring in belly dancers, snake charmers, and beer joints in Coopertown, or if that won’t work, bring on taxes and raise them now. If Publishers Clearing House knocks on your door, don’t open it, it’s the Mayor telling you he’s raising your taxes. It’s on the way. Does anyone have a few belly dancers or snake charmers around your house? If not, get your check books ready, Coopertown.

We can only take this comment from the major clown of the Crosby supporters! What right does she have to call someone an ignorant idiot? Three months ago she was arrested for Domestic Violence against her husband. She also said she was forced to sign the ouster petition and she didn’t understand the intent. This person has also published in the Robertson County Times that someone killed a black cat and stretched it over her mail box. She has also claimed her vehicle has been vandalized. Sounds like she is running in the right circle of mistruths and clouded eyes and warped minds. Coopertown is trying to change its image and you still do not understand the turmoil and despair that Crosby and Long has caused the city by their antics. At least the revenue is honest and above board and not taken by heavy handed keystone cops or should I say robot cops. There again she speaks the ill truth there will be no taxes! And she is complaining of there being a fine if you don’t keep your property clean and maintained. If she lived anywhere else this is already in place a Coopertown has to be able to make homeowners keep and maintain their property. If we opened a beer joint I am sure we would see all the Crosby supporters sitting at the bar and one song writer trying to make a number one hit. Maybe you can get B. J. Thomas change his hit song to “somebody done me wrong in Coopertown’! All the snake charmers and snake oil salesmen have been expelled from City Hall! There again you have been provided with inaccurate information and published non-sense to make your support and presences show stupidity.
Oh I am so sorry I failed to mention that the night she was arrested for Domestic Violence she was extremely intoxicated. Then the next morning she revoked her Bond conditions by vandalizing her ex-husbands vehicle. She was also hiding to keep from being arrested again. I guess she also fails to remember she was hitting on the CPD officer that was taking her to jail. Videos don’t lie. So we see that either she doesn’t know the circumstance or she is just another babbling alcoholic with a p**s poor agenda. Now how’s that for supporters for Crosby and Long.

Re: the petition to get Crosby back was a sick joke
And what seems interesting is how the RCTimes is leaning toward allowing only supporters of Crosby to have any vailid opinion. No wonder their revenues are down in the print media when they play favorites and present news with only one side. That is refered to as propoganda in the dictionary and that has ruined them in the community and will be their total downfall in the end. Funny thing is they would sell a lot papers if they wrote everything they know about the old crowd who ran this town last administration. People from Coopertown would want to read that stuff since they witnessed a lot of it. They would like to have others know about the apparent misconduct at city hall with the way they did finances, the cronism and those fake people who were and probably still are doing things to destroy this town all in the name of making us a better place. People need to know just how low down they were willing to be so other towns and citizens in other areas do not have to go through the mess we did. People would be interested in the truth if they would bother to print it.

Re: the petition to get Crosby back was a sick joke
Holy cow, I read the update Notkoyet. So the police video shows her playing games with the arresting officer!? Your gettin out your big stirring stick this time! So, your saying we have a group full of crazies mixed in with the crowd trying to help Crosby win back his honor. Sounds like not only an uphill battle for them but they are making our case so easy to prove when we say they are just plain wrong. I suppose there are always going to be those who fail to see the forest for the trees who make wild accusations. Good thing this is a real small community who know the crowd we are dealing with because each time one of them makes a claim like "Mayor Childs will do this or that horrible thing", in their weak attempt to cause him pain, they end up looking so bad they can't talk their way back out of it. The former mayor is really indefensable as a politician and that is the end of his story. I hope his followers can leave it alone before they do even more harm to their credibility and standing with their neighbors. We will not be easily fooled again in these matters. Too many fine citizens saw all they needed to to get the rest of the voters informed with hard facts that were easy to defend because it was the truth, plain and simple. I fear no repeat of the mistake that put them in office since it was so big. We recalled him and when the judge changed his tune after initially agreeing and oustering him, we voted him out. So, enough already we won and they lost they should save their time and money for more important things.

Holly Moiled sounds like the pot is thickening. Sure wish the past was in our rear view mirror but it keeps taking center stage on our dash board.
