I too was made aware of Robert Dale Anderson, along with Crosby, of not taking the news of the swearing in last night too well. The county sheriff had to be called and police protection for members of the board at their homes! What say you Crosbyites? Do you not believe in democracy?

Larry Mulstadt resigned and it has been rumored that ex-vice mayor Jack Long has been appointed to fill the vacancy left by Mulstadt's resignation. Shouldn't this task have been left to the new adminstration?

Wow, I can sure picture Danny saying things that would make the Sherrif move quickly but not RD. I see the official site says this old alderman was now back in but did the board call an official meeting announced to the public? Not to my knowledge and if not then legally there are no grounds to accept his last second appointment from an outgoing mayor who continually acts in ways that elicit the need for Police officers to visit with him.


I would think Jack is not this dumb surely he knows he can be legally replaced and any money he wishes to spend would be totally lost as they do recognize the Sunshine law in court cases. If they did not obey it when they "selected" him, then it would most certainly count in a courtroom environment under scrutiny of a judge. I would think this is 100% invalid but who knows maybe they had announced the meeting so that it would be in the open and totaly legal and if I am right he will not go quitely so it could get interesting (again). Anybody hear about a board meeting to select a new Alderman?

According to our town charter, Alderman Mulstadt has to submit his resignation in writing and the current members of the BOA have to vote to accept/reject it. Then the board has 15 days to appoint a replacement for the seat and the unserved portion of the term.

If a special called meeting is warranted, a timeframe of no less than 12 hours should be given to allow for advertisement of the meeting. All efforts would need to be made by the town to advertise the meeting in public locations throughout the district.

The best thing Robert Dale can do is not run for reelection he has lost his creditablity and honor with the citizens of Coopertown.
